Frequently Asked Questions

Who can nominate?

Anyone can nominate a local business! The only exceptions are the two awards which have prerequisites; The Napanee Business Improvement Area Award requires you be a BIA member and the Napanee & District Chamber of Commerce Award requires a Chamber membership.

Who picks the winner?

The community has the ability to nominate, however the Business Achievement Awards Panel has the final decision in the event of a tie. The Panel consists of the following members: The County of Lennox and Addington, PELA, CFDC, MyFM 88.7, The Napanee Beaver, The Township of Stone Mills, Greater Napanee and Loyalist Township, in addition to the organizing Committee for the Business Achievement Awards.

When/Where is it?

The Business Achievement Awards will be held as a free online and live event from our Facebook page on Thursday October 29th 2020.

Why are we hosting this event?

We are hosting this event to recognize local businesses, employees and owners and their success in the area. This is especially important due to the current climate that the Covid-19 pandemic has created and its effect on local businesses.

What is our Covid-19 response?

This year, our event is taking place online only. We are instead organizing an online event that will be streamed for free on Facebook Live on the night of October 29th. These steps were taken to ensure that every single participant, nominee, and award winner can stay safe and socially distant. This year's Business Achievement awards are going to be especially memorable, and we hope that you will join us.
